Library and Information Services

The Geological Society Library was founded in 1809 and contains over 300,000 volumes of books and serials.  It takes around 700 current serial titles and has a collection of over 35,000 maps. All aspects of the geological sciences are covered.

Access for non-members (including members of societies with which the Geological Society has reciprocal agreements) is by appointment only.

Library Acquisitions Review: usage survey

Caribbean Geology The Geological Society is carrying out a review of its library acquisitions policy and is undertaking a survey of book and journal usage. We ask library users to help us by noting any books and journals they use while visiting the library.

Sale of Geological Map Prints
